Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Datatronex Computer Systems collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.

Who is responsible

Datatronex Computer Systems, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is the controller for the personal data described here. Contact details are in the imprint.

Which law applies

We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Where we handle data of individuals in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we also apply the corresponding GDPR obligations.

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, email address, phone number, company and role.
  • The content of your enquiry and any documents you choose to send.
  • Intake information: company, infrastructure, spend, funding and founder details, where you engage us.
  • Technical data from your visit: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring page.
  • We never collect passwords, secret keys, access keys or MFA codes. We do not ask for them and you should never send them.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and assess whether we can help.
  • To deliver the services you engage us for, including preparing credit applications.
  • To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.

On what basis

We rely on your consent for enquiries and for optional analytics, on the performance of a contract for engagement work, and on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site. Where a legal obligation requires retention, that takes precedence.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only where it is necessary to do the work:

  • With Amazon Web Services, where you have asked us to submit a credit application on your behalf.
  • With named migration or Activate partners, only with your prior agreement and only where the route requires it.
  • With service providers who host this site, deliver email and process form submissions on our instructions.
  • Where we are legally required to do so.

International transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred, we rely on the transfer mechanisms permitted under the applicable law and take reasonable steps to ensure an equivalent level of protection.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within twelve months. Engagement records are retained for the period required by UAE commercial and tax law, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything inaccurate.
  • Delete data we no longer have a legal reason to keep.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent, which stops future processing based on it.
  • Provide your data in a portable format, where that applies.

Email us using the address in the imprint. We respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the UAE Data Office.

Cookies

The site sets a small number of cookies. The ones required to make the site work cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the banner, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing the site's cookies.

Security

Access to client information is limited to the people working on your engagement. Documents are held in access-controlled storage. Where a migration requires technical access to your environment, it is arranged through a scoped role that you create and can revoke.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
